- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -

What does "commercial use" mean?

  • Commercial use means using an illustration to make money. This includes things like selling it in an online shop, creating products to sell, promoting it on platforms like YouTube or Twitch, or using it in a game. In short, commercial use is using the illustration to earn a profit.

So, what does personal (non-commercial) use mean? What’s the difference?

  • Personal use means sharing artwork on non-profit or social websites, using it as a profile picture, setting it as a phone/computer wallpaper, or printing it to decorate a room, etc. In short, there’s no profit involved.

How can I know if my request is considered commercial or not?

  • Feel free to contact me, but please note that if you plan to make any profit or get paid for your request, it will be considered commercial. If you can't find an answer to your question, you can reach me at hello@stayaliveplz.com.

Pricing:

For commercial commission requests and selling the commercial rights to my existing work, I offer two options:

  • Regular shops and base price: For regular or lower-income shops, I sell my art at a fixed base price. I use this approach because these shops may not have the budget for collaboration agreements, and I don’t sell my art for less than a certain amount. This straightforward pricing model makes it easier for both the shop and the artist to manage transactions without complex contracts.
  • High-income shops and collaboration contracts: For high-income shops, I prefer collaboration contracts. In these cases, I'm open to working together on sales through contracts that may include profit sharing, exclusivity agreements, or custom arrangements for promoting and displaying the art. If you'd like to discuss any further details, feel free to contact me.

Yes, I do commissions for commercial use.

  •  This means you can use the artwork for things like selling products (like t-shirts or prints), advertising your business, or using it in a game.
  • The prices for commercial commissions are different from personal commissions because you'll have the right to use the artwork to make money.
  • Please check the "Pricing" section above for the starting prices for commercial commissions.

Can I purchase your existing artwork for commercial purposes?

  • Yes, I'm open to selling the rights to some of my existing artwork for commercial use.
  • Please contact me if you're interested in using any of my existing artwork for your business.
  • Important Notes: Not all of my artwork is available for commercial use. If I created artwork for another company or person, I can't sell the rights to that artwork to anyone else.

Do your digital packs in your store and on Gumroad come with commercial rights?

  • Absolutely not. These products are made and sold for personal use only. Buying them does not grant any commercial rights. Commercial rights apply to each individual piece within the packs, not the packs themselves.

Am I the only one who claims work rights, or are there others?

  • I keep a list of people who have purchased my works for commercial use, as well as artworks created specifically for commercial purposes by request from an organization or individual. It's also important to note that as the creator, I have the right to sell my works however I choose. However, I am not selling any specific work created for commercial purposes by request from an organization or individual.
