To figure out if your request is personal or commercial, consider this:

• Personal Requests: These are for private use or personal projects. Examples include artwork for personal enjoyment, sharing on non-profit or social websites, using it as a profile picture, wallpaper, or a single print for decoration. There’s no profit involved.
• Commercial Requests: These are for business purposes. This includes artwork for advertising, merchandise, or anything meant to make money or promote a business. Commercial use means using the illustration to earn a profit.

If your request is for business, sales, or promotion, it’s commercial. If it’s for personal enjoyment or private use, it’s personal.
